New Year's Eve run of the district fire brigade association calls for repetition

A total of 52 participants had registered for the New Year's Eve run of the district fire brigade association.

"That was really fun," says Michael Polednik happily.
The chairman had invited to the first New Year's Eve run of the district fire brigade association in person, after the premiere last year had to be virtual.
So 52 participants met on Saturday at the Erling-Andechs fire station, from where the five and ten kilometer runs started.

- With start number 1, District Administrator Stefan Frey was also there on the long route, as was Polednik himself. The weather was perfect on the five-kilometer circuit, which had to be mastered once for the five kilometers and twice for the ten kilometers.
At the finish, the starters were expected with medals, gifts and food.
The response of those involved led to the decision on the same day to hold the New Year's Eve run in 2022 as well.
The best women runners over five kilometers were Julia Feigl (Erling-Andechs) ahead of Tabea Weeke (Wielenbach) and Jutta Hasenclever (Leutstetten).
In the men's category, Lukas Bergmann (Oberpfaffenhofen) won ahead of Dominic Wimmer (Dießen) and Thomas Sailer (Erling-Andechs).
No woman had competed for ten kilometers.
The fastest runner there was Alfons Ludwig (Meiling) ahead of Michael Mayr (Polling) and Christoph Dambier (Hochstadt).
