A source in the Russian Ministry of Defense revealed that more than 500 crews of the Strategic Missile Forces took turns at their combat positions on New Year's Eve.
The source reported, according to TASS, that the members of the Strategic Missile Forces carry out their duty and take turns on constant alert for the immediate implementation of combat missions, even on days off.
He pointed out that, “On New Year’s Eve, more than 500 crews of the Strategic Missile Forces took turns on duty,” noting that about 6,000 soldiers work daily in the rotating forces.
