The Christmas tree auction of the Warriors and Soldiers Association Eichenried is - as was customary in the past - a public property auction with a summit auction.

Eichenried - "Unfortunately, the number of visitors is decreasing, especially the younger generations are missing," regrets Chairman Georg Scheckenhofer in a statement.

Nevertheless, a handsome sum was raised, part of which was donated to the German War Graves Commission.

As every year, deserving and long-standing members were also honored at the Christmas tree auction of the Eichenried Warriors and Soldiers Association.

Scheckenhofer and Mayor Georg Nagler presented honorary certificates and pins.

Franz Aschenbrenner, Georg Brummer, Helmut Scherzl, Georg Stangl and Günter Zangl were appointed honorary members.

Georg Brummer, Herbert Fischer, Thomas Fischer, Richard Kressirer and Ewald Jansen were honored for 40 years of membership.

And Franz Aschenbrenner, Manfred Hofer, Heinrich Schröder and Rudolf Ways have been there for 25 years.
