On January 13th it's that time again: "I'm a star - get me out of here!" goes into the next round.
But this year's jungle camp candidates are not well received online.
Murwillumbah, Australia - The long wait is almost over.
From January 13, RTL will finally hear the long-awaited cry from the suspension bridge: "I'm a star - get me out of here!" After two years in exile (due to the pandemic in 2020 in Hürth-Efferen, 2021 in South Africa), the jungle camp is back held in Australia.

Who will be king or queen of the jungle in 2023?
RTL did not splash out and also invited a colorful potpourri of more or less well-known stars and starlets to the Australian wilderness for the 16th season of the jungle camp.
Dirndl designer Claudia Effenberg (57), actor Martin Semmelrogge (67), GNTM bitch Tessa Bergmeier (33) and the checker from the Neckar Cosimo Citiolo (41) can enjoy rice and beans or delicacies such as thousand-year-old eggs or kangaroo testicles looking forward.

However, the selection of the jungle camp candidates is not particularly well received online.
Although many are looking forward to the new IBES season (“brilliant cast”, “great mix”, “good that there are no bullies”, “not bad, the team”), there are also many critical comments relate in particular to the participants.
IBES fans appalled by the new jungle camp candidates
"Jolina and Gigi...the only ones I'm looking forward to," explains one viewer, while another complains about "too many strangers."
A third party was probably looking forward to another cast, after all it had been speculated in advance that ex-bachelor Andrej Mangold, "Goodbye Germany" emigrant Lisha and trash queen Claudia Obert would stir up the jungle this year.
"I was really thinking about whether I should get this... I was even a little bit happy about the assumed cast... such a disappointment!!!!
None of the real 'good guys' who will provide entertainment.
SO I won't watch it!
Boring cast, what a pity!”
was the verdict of the disappointed IBES fan.
These are the previous jungle camp winners:
Costa Cordalis
Desiree Nick
Ross Antony
Ingrid van Bergen
Peer Kusmagk
Bridget Nielsen
Joey Heindle
Melanie Mueller
Maren Gilzer
Menderes Bagci
Marc Terenzi
Jenny Frankhauser
Evelyn Burdecki
Prince Damien
Filip Pavlovic
"The moment when you were looking forward to a jungle camp with Claudia Obert, Lisha, Twenty4tim and Max Giesinger, but now you get such no-names instead," agrees another viewer.
"It feels like they've all been there before," says the next person, who isn't too impressed.
"Do you have to know them?" asks another.
However, another jungle fan cannot understand the moaning: "What do you actually think?
That Merkel, Günther Jauch and Helene Fischer go into such a format?
Reality stars are just the 'stars' of the generation right now.
Deal with it!” he demands.

As different as the reactions may be, one thing is already clear: there should be enough drama again this year.
Even before "I'm a star - get me out of here!" has even started, there's already beef.
The two jungle camp candidates Tessa Bergmeier and Verena Kerth share violently against each other online.
