BRK headquarters by July at the latest: The office building on Kreuz-/Buchhofstraße in Percha will be the headquarters of all departments of the district association that are not tied to a specific location – and perhaps an ambulance.

After seven years and six attempts, the BRK district association Starnberg managed to secure a location shortly before Christmas where all threads will come together in the future.

The new home in Percha already has a name: "Strong Homeland".

- district manager Jan Lang let the old year end in the best of spirits.

He had been looking for a location for the district office for seven years, he had made six unsuccessful attempts, and in the seventh he finally managed the coup.

Because the operational business of the district association is currently spread across several locations, the administration is "penned in" (long) on ​​Münchner Straße in Starnberg.

That should change now.

The new address is Buchhofstraße 1a/Kreuzstraße 22-26, at the motorway entrance in Percha.

"It's a very, very nice Christmas present," Lang says happily.

In Percha, 1,400 square meters will initially be available from July 1, with the option of a total of 3,000 square meters over the next five years, as soon as further space becomes available.

"We're growing into the building," says Lang, and he immediately found a name for it.

"Strong Homeland" is to be the name of the operative center for all departments that are not bound to one location.

That sounds pathetic, he concedes, but it should be, after all, he's been looking for this solution long enough.

Most recently he had flirted with the "mosaic".

"But we can't pay 28 or 30 euros rent per square meter." He was all the more pleased when the "doers", the project developers of the Starnberg industrial park, and property owner Houdek approached the district association and the new location at the large intersection in offered percha.

The rescue service administration is also to move into Percha with the district office.

Even an ambulance can be stationed at the Percha site.

Three other vehicles and the water emergency vehicle remain in the rescue station on Kaiser-Wilhelm-Straße for the time being.

The location on Münchner Strasse with the cramped spatial conditions will be cleared, and the administrative location in Garatshausen will also be given up, says Lang.

The 2023 project of the district manager will now be to secure a south location in addition to the north location.

Because that is the specification of the rescue association when the tunnel is finished.

Ambulances should be stationed north and south of the tunnel ready for action.

Lang is already in property negotiations, also in talks with the district and the city of Starnberg.

He sounds confident.

Until then, he is happy about the pre-Christmas contract signing at the Percha site and is busy making plans.

Lang would like completely new working environments, so-called "New Work", with which office space should be used more efficiently.

"We can implement very modern concepts there and draw from the experience of Corona over time." Home office and video telephony or hybrid events, partly in presence and partly transmitted via the Internet, are no longer alien to anyone and could now be perfected.

"It is important to us that our departments can work together efficiently."

Before that happens, the landlord will remodel a bit.

Lang wants to sit down at his new desk by July 1 at the latest.
