Car rams pedelec on the B 304: driver seriously injured

A serious accident on the B304 called the emergency services on Monday near Ebersberg.
A cyclist was seriously injured.
Ebersberg
- On Monday evening, December 2, around 7 p.m., there was a traffic accident on the B304 near Reitgesing between a 64-year-old pedelec rider and a 70-year-old car driver.
This is reported by the Ebersberg Police Inspectorate.
B304 in the direction of Wasserburg: in the dark, the driver hits the pedelec driver from behind
Both parties were on the main road in the direction of Wasserburg when the 70-year-old rammed the pedelec driver from behind with her car.
The officials do not elaborate on whether they had overlooked the man in the darkness and how clearly he was visible.
The cause of the accident is currently still under investigation.
Serious injuries: the accident victim has to go to the clinic
According to the police, the 64-year-old was helpless next to the road and his bike was badly damaged.
The cyclist was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
The 70-year-old driver suffered a shock but was otherwise unharmed.
Officials estimate the damage to the car was around 5,000 euros.
Car against pedelec on the B304: expert to clarify the cause of the accident
According to the investigators, in consultation with the Munich public prosecutor's office, an expert was called to the scene of the accident to reconstruct the exact course of the accident.
In the late rush-hour traffic, especially from Munich, the accident caused temporary disabilities.
Also on Monday evening, a drunk walker caused a police operation in the Ebersberg city area, which ended with two injured.
