A rocket launched from the Gaza Strip towards Israel fell in the territory of the Gaza Strip - this is what the IDF spokesman informed this evening (Tuesday). The attempted launch follows the threats of the terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip which included promises of escalation in response to the visit of the Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gabir to the Temple Mount.
"A failed launch was detected the night it fell in the territory of the Gaza Strip," the IDF spokesman said in a statement.
No red alerts were activated following the launch and the army declared "full routine in the rear".
Following Ben Gabir's visit to the Temple Mount this morning, the security establishment was put on alert, emphasizing the fear of rocket launches from the Gaza Strip towards Israel.
Security officials clarified that "Hamas and Islamic Jihad do not set conditions for Israel", and added: "The move did not change the status quo in the compound".
