Good news at the beginning of the year: When it comes to waste disposal fees in the district, everything stays the same.

And the disposal of wood is even cheaper.

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen - The waste fees in the district remain stable.

The district's own WGV Recycling GmbH drew attention to this in a press release.

Accordingly, no new fee notices will be issued for 2023, the old ones will continue to apply.

By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Bad Tölz newsletter.

Disposal of bulky waste is no longer passed on to the general public

The fact that the fees do not have to be increased despite the many times higher costs - for example due to higher diesel costs for garbage collection vehicles - is due on the one hand to the fact that bulky waste has no longer been financed by the community of all district residents via the residual waste bins since mid-2022.

Rather, only those who use the disposal service have to pay, i.e. hand in bulky waste.

"In addition, higher proceeds from the sale of some recyclables, for example scrap metal, improve the overall balance," says WGV.

When generating electricity in the biogas plant, WGV benefits from the market situation

The collected and sorted paper also had a good market value until autumn 2022.

By generating electricity in the biogas plant, WGV also benefited from the sharp rise in market prices for electricity.

"This could be even better if the organic waste would end up in the organic bins more consistently and with fewer impurities - especially not in plastic bags," says the WGV.

Those who deliver wood have to pay less or nothing at all

And there is more good news: "The current market situation is giving us savings in the area of wood disposal." Therefore, the delivery fee at WGV Quartzbichl and in Greiling for wood class 4 (treated wood from outside) can be increased from 130 to 50 euros per ton lowered.

For wood class 1 to 3 no fee is due anymore.

Furniture wood and other unpolluted wood from indoor spaces can therefore be unloaded free of charge with immediate effect.

On the other hand, the delivery prices for mineral fiber waste (glass wool, rock wool) and asbestos cement had to be increased by five and six percent, respectively.
