Surprising news from the Hofbrauhaus Freising: Managing Director Jürgen Peter Charrois is leaving the company.
Freising
– This came as a complete surprise for both the employees and the public: Jürgen Peter Charrois, the managing director of Gräfliches Hofbrauhaus Freising GmbH, was “released from his obligations as managing director of the company” on Tuesday, as stated in a press release from the brewery at Mainburger Strasse 26.
Charrois was only appointed managing director of the Freisinger Hofbrauhaus in May 2019.
Reasons are "change process" and "structural reorientation"
The reasons given for Charrois leaving the company on Tuesday are a "process of change and the structural realignment" of the Hofbrauhaus in the press release signed by the two chairmen of the advisory board, Claus Lippert and Christoph Michl.
Until a new managing director is found, the previous authorized signatory and longstanding technical operations manager Arno Jacobi will be in charge of the fortunes of the brewery, as is further communicated in the letter.
Arno Jacobi is interim managing director.

When asked by FT, Jacobi emphasizes that he will certainly only hold this position as managing director until a successor for Charrois has been found.
The fact that the company parted ways with Charrois on Tuesday was "surprising for the employees," said Jacobi on Tuesday.
However, he did not want to make any statements about the reasons and background.
Charrois was also responsible for the retail and gastronomy sales areas.
The Hofbrauhaus announced that Peter Hiebl will take over these areas with immediate effect in his function as General Sales Manager of the Hofbrauhaus Freising.
