Left-wing activists destroyed a cattle fence near the settlement of Hamada several times and even documented themselves doing so on social media. However, the police closed the case on the grounds that the perpetrator was unknown. delusional and outrageous"

The prosecutor's office and the police decided to close a number of cases opened against left-wing organizations for damage they caused in the Jordan Valley to the property of Israeli farmers there.

Several months after the investigation into the matter was opened, and after last August the cases were closed for an "unknown criminal", this despite the fact that it is clear to everyone who committed the act and they brag about it, it was decided to close the cases for good.

The farmers claim that they were abandoned.

Between the last months of February and August, left-wing activists destroyed three times a cattle fence that was placed by Uri Cohen and Eshal Kornitz near the settlement of Hamada in the Jordan Valley.

It should be noted that the leftists on behalf of "Fighters for Peace", "Looking at the Occupation" and "Mothers Against Violence" do not at all deny that they carried out the destruction.

Thus, in a post that appeared a few months ago on the Facebook account of the organization "Looking at conquest with our eyes", they wrote that "Operation peace fence, somewhere in the Bekaa, has ended successfully. A pirate fence, a fence that denied access to water/pasture to anyone who is not Jewish. Was there a fence?! Shabbos Shabbat - early in the morning, nature is free!".

The left-wing activists claim that this is an illegal fence that was placed in a fire zone in violation of the law.

This, they claim, harms the Palestinian shepherds and deprives them of critical pastures.

The investigation was reopened - and closed

Following the destruction, the two farmers filed complaints with the police, and at the same time they are suing the organizations for more than NIS 150,000 for the damage caused.

But last August, in a strange move, it was decided to close the cases in the first two cases, with the police claiming that "the perpetrator is unknown."

The organization "Bezelmo", which represents the farmers, rushed to contact the prosecutor's office, and as a result the investigation was reopened and the three cases were consolidated.

Now it has been decided in the prosecutor's office and the police to shelve the cases definitively.

In a letter from the state attorney's office, the "Betzalmo" organization was told that "after examining your application, the deputy state attorney (special duties) attorney Alon Altman did not find that your application should be handled illegally.

Our request to the Israel Police shows that the cases opened in this matter were shelved on the grounds that 'the circumstances of the matter are not suitable for prosecution.'"

This means that no criminal actions will be taken against the left-wing activists who vandalized a cattle fence worth thousands of shekels - and were even proud of it.

The "Bezelmo" organization filed an appeal against the decision to close the investigation files.

"Extreme left-wing people come to these farms, damage their property and cause them losses of tens of thousands of shekels. Not only that, but they even record themselves doing it, are proud of it and upload it to social networks," the appeal on behalf of attorney Michael Litvok states.

"The police and the state attorney's office say explicitly - it is possible to damage the property of Yosh residents and nothing will be done to them," said the "Tzalmo" organization. According to them, "apparently the law that prohibits damage to other property does not apply to Jews living in Judea and Samaria.

We demand that the new ministers of national security and justice shake up the system, determine that this is a delusional and outrageous concept, and make sure that our appeal is accepted and that anyone who damages a person's property, no matter what their political views are, will be prosecuted and the law will be served with them."
