Theft with the help of the children:

An indictment was filed last week in the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court against a family of illegal residents, spouses and the woman's sister, who picked up and stole from businesses and citizens in the Old City in many cases.

The police stated that there were more than 10 cases, when an indictment was filed on only four cases in which there were complaints against the family members since not all the owners of the stolen property were found.

Observers of the David area (View 2000) of the Israel Police were the ones who located the theft cases and the police detectives of the David area in the Jerusalem district were the ones who put their hands on the thieves and pickpockets.

The indictment states that the defendants are the defendant's spouse and sister in their 50s, who committed the thefts with their three children.

The family members are residents of Badahriya in the Palestinian Authority, without residence permits in Israel.

One of the girls has a residence permit for medical purposes only and one of the family members had a permit to enter Israel at the time the offenses were committed.

The family stole wallets containing documents, money, clothes and even cheese.

On 12/20/22 at noon, family members walked in the Old City next to one of the complainants, approached her and took from a bag that was on her shoulders a wallet containing documents and a sum of money of NIS 350 and passed the wallet between them.

On 15.12.22 at noon, family members stole a wallet in the Old City that was placed in a baby carriage and contained an identity card and about NIS 800.

On 1.12.22 at noon when the family was walking together, one of the accused reached into the personal bag of another complainant and took her purse from her personal bag.

On the same day, the accused went to a clothing store and stole clothes worth NIS 380 and smoothed them with their clothes.

The detective officer of the David Area in the Jerusalem District, Inspector Shai Negani, said: "This painstaking investigation led to the solving of the cases thanks to the resourcefulness of the David Area detectives together with the MGB fighters with the assistance of the David Area control center observers.

In accordance with the policy of the Jerusalem district commander, all the district units will continue a determined and uncompromising fight against crime and property crimes, with all the means at the disposal of the police."
