On video: Suspicion of abuse at a kindergarten in Tel Aviv (Walla system!)
The police today (Tuesday) began an investigation into suspected abuse at a daycare center for one and a half year old toddlers in Tel Aviv.
The suspect in the act, one of the helpers at the kindergarten, allegedly hit the toddlers, pulled them and pinched her.
Also, in the recordings obtained by Walla, the kindergarten worker is heard shouting at the crying toddlers, and at the same time loud noises of objects being thrown.
At the beginning of the week, the mother of one of the toddlers filed a complaint with the police, but has since retracted it, possibly out of fear of harassment.
However, then the recording of the assistant yelling at the toddlers was transferred to the headquarters of the fight for the children.
Following that recording, the headquarters invited the supervision of the dormitories in the Ministry of Education to examine what was happening there.

The inspector, who arrived at the daycare this morning, watched the recordings from the security cameras at the place.
At the end of the viewing, the supervisor called the police claiming that toddlers were indeed being abused there.
A car arrived at the scene after a short time and collected the video materials for further viewing and examination.
Tomorrow the inspector is expected to file an official complaint at the station.
Alona Daniel, from the headquarters of the struggle for children, emphasized the importance of the supervision work in the case.
"Finally there is an address and a real concern for the protection of preschool children, and full partners in the work of the headquarters. The cooperation resulted in professional and extremely fast care," she said.
"Such frameworks prove to us the duty to amend the camera law and open up cameras to parents. The headquarters of the struggle for children will continue to fight on the front lines for the safety of all children."
In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of known cases of abuse in preschool settings.
This is, among other things, due to the mandatory cameras that came into force about two years ago and helped in the perception of these cases, as well as an increase in awareness of the issue.
However, a report by the Knesset's Research and Information Center showed that only about 20% of the hundreds of cases opened between 2017 and 2021 for violence against children in preschool settings matured into an indictment.
