But the project caused a sensation.

Many Brits now want the Sussexes stripped of their titles.

"I'm just surprised the documentary didn't do more harm to the Sussexes," Royals writer Tom Quinn told the

, "I found it painful to watch - it made it clear that these two are lost souls. However, as the expert goes on to explain, it is unlikely that King Charles will actually take the title away from his youngest son: "Because then it looks like he and Prince William are doing things like Harry and Meghan."

The January 10 release of Harry's autobiography, Spare, which takes its title from the phrase "The Prince and the Spare," should only widen the rift between the brothers.

However, the meaningful results of the survey make it very clear on whose side the public is likely to be on in the coming months – even if it was certainly Harry and Meghan's goal to rally the masses around them with their story of woe.
