The Cuban Celia Cruz is the Latin American artist with the best position in the list of the 200 greatest singers of all time by Rolling Stone magazine.

Celia Cruz, born in Havana in 1925 and full name Úrsula Hilaria Celia Caridad Cruz Alfonso, was ranked number 18 on the Rolling Stone list.

The Cuban-born singer is recognized as the 'Queen of Salsa'.

Cruz wanted with her music "people to feel that her heart sings and her soul soars."
