The Special Duty Team of the Kwun Tong Police District and the Miscellaneous Investigation Team launched a joint anti-pornography operation today (4th) in Furen Street, Mut Wah Street, Hong Ning Road and Shing Yip Street in Kwun Tong. Two women were arrested and are currently being detained for investigation .
The Special Duty Team of the Kwun Tong Police District arrested a 41-year-old mainland woman surnamed Xu on suspicion of "violating the conditions of stay" at a unit on Muk Wah Street, and seized a batch of evidence in the unit, including condoms, wet wipes and lubricating oil.
In addition, members of the Miscellaneous Investigation Team of the Kwun Tong Police District raided a shop on Huijing Road, smashed up an unlicensed massage establishment, and arrested a 52-year-old woman surnamed Li in charge on suspicion of "operating an unlicensed massage parlor". Officers seized evidence such as massage oil and towels.
The police stated that the solicitation of prostitution in public places is one of the key targets of the Kwun Tong Police District. They will continue to pay attention to the relevant situation and take strict law enforcement actions. It is an offense to manage, assist in the management or in any capacity assist in the operation of any massage parlor without a valid operating license. The maximum penalty upon conviction is a fine of $50,000 and imprisonment for 6 months.
