In January, the Water Management Office in Weilheim begins preparations for the rehabilitation of the Kienbach in Herrsching.
Herrsching
– The residents have been informed, and the measures have also been agreed with the municipality of Herrsching and the Lower Nature Conservation Authority: From next week, the Weilheim Water Management Office will be carrying out wood maintenance measures in the inner-city area of the Kienbach in Herrsching, the Weilheim authority announced in a press release.
The measures are particularly necessary to ensure a sufficient water cross-section for flood discharge and not to further impair the stability of the existing bank protection.
"In particular, shrubs and perennials as well as some smaller trees are cut back or removed," said the authority.
The work is being carried out by the Benediktbeuern river management office of the water management office.
It starts on Wednesday, January 11th.
The work will take about three weeks.
The residents directly adjacent to the Kienbach were informed about the measures by direct mail in December.
