Safety in the skies:
AIRLINERATING magazine, which annually ranks the safest airlines in the world, has published its latest list - and many of the companies also operate flights to Israel.
The first place was taken by the Australian Qantas, which does not fly to Israel.
It is followed by another company from the region - Air New Zealand, which also does not fly to Israel.
In third place is the excellent airline from Abu Dhabi - Etihad, which operates direct flights on the Abu Dhabi-Tel Aviv route.
The fourth and fifth places are occupied by two other companies that do not fly to Israel: Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines, two airlines that deserve to star at the top of all rankings in the world.

In sixth place was the Portuguese airline TAP and right after it is Emirates, the excellent airline from Dubai that started operating direct flights on the Dubai-Tel Aviv route this year, and has since doubled the pace of its operations in Israel.
In eighth and ninth place are Alaska Airlines from the USA and EVA AIR from Taiwan, both of which do not fly to Israel. In the 10th and very respectable place is Virgin Atlantic, which operates direct flights on the London-Tel Aviv route.
The second ten is opened by Cathay Pacific, which flies directly on the Hong Kong-Tel Aviv route.
Right after it was Wayan Airlines, whose name was only recently mentioned after its plane ran into an unusual air pocket, in an incident in which several people were injured, but the plane eventually managed to land safely.
In 13th place is SAS from Scandinavia, which only recently submitted an application to operate flights from Stockholm and Copenhagen to Israel. Airlines flying to Israel are in 14-20 places: the American United took 14th place, immediately after Lufthansa and Swiss, followed by Finnair from Finland, British Airways , KLM, American Airlines and the second ten is closed by the American Delta.
As you can see, there are no Israeli airlines in the ranking, although El Al received 7 safety stars from the same site, but in the end it did not enter the prestigious ranking.
Among the safest low cost companies in the world, according to the website: Wizz Air, EasyJet, Wingling, Ryanair, Fly Dubai, Air Baltic and other companies that are not active in Israel.
The Transavia company, which flies quite a few Israelis to Paris and Amsterdam, was not able to make it in the ranking of the safest Lowcost companies in the world.
The least safe airlines according to the site's ranking are Airblue from Pakistan, Srivajaya from Indonesia, Blue Wing from Suriname, Air Algiers and Pakistan International Airlines.
Each of them received only one safety star.
