No personal injury or damage to property: Thanks to the Mittenwald fire brigade, worse things could be prevented from a chimney fire on Tuesday.
Mittenwald
– There was a lot going on on Tuesday on Goethestrasse in Mittenwald: there was a fireplace in a family home around 3 p.m.
The alerted fire brigade prevented the fire from spreading.
For this purpose, the emergency services were transported to the roof using a lifting platform.
There they removed the embers from the chimney, cleaned it and thus contained the flames.
"Fortunately, there was no personal injury or property damage," said a spokesman for the police inspection.
On-site inspections by the Mittenwald police patrol team and the chimney sweep who was also called in did not reveal any evidence of misconduct or negligence on the part of the homeowner.
In addition to the fire brigade, which was on site with four vehicles and 30 helpers, the rescue service was also called in as a precaution.
