A 63-year-old man was sentenced to two years in prison on Tuesday for having sexually assaulted a 7-year-old boy with a disability, south of Nantes, on the night of October 8 to 9, 2022, reports the regional daily Presse Océan. .
During the trial which was held on Tuesday at the Nantes Criminal Court, the sexagenarian admitted the facts.
He used to look after the children of the same family and was sometimes invited to share convivial moments with them.
One night, while sleeping in the child's bedroom, he explained that he woke up to go to the bathroom and stopped at his bed.
“I put my hand in his pajamas to masturbate him.
He said to me “Why are you doing this?”.
I caught a cold and went back to bed,
” he said at the helm, according to

By assuming his attraction for young children, he told the magistrates that his request for chemical castration had never been successful.
“I've done this all my life.
I'm fed up with hurting those around me
, ”he insisted.

The sixty-year-old had already been convicted in 2002 and 2014 for similar acts,
his lawyer Maître Créach told
Le Figaro .
Since 2014, he no longer had the right to come into contact with children.
In 2019, he went back to court for attempting to view child pornography in a media library.
In pre-trial detention since November, he will remain behind bars until November 2024.
