Extensive clearing along the existing B472 already indicates the forthcoming construction of the Tölzer Nordspange.
But that doesn't mean that the actual work will start this year.

The complicated geology of the subsoil is delaying the implementation of the mega project in Bad Tölz.
In addition, it must first be tested how the vibrations during construction affect the Sitec company.
Bad Tölz
– It cannot be overlooked along the existing Tölz bypass road: it has been heavily cleared out in recent weeks.
And near the Allgaustraße level crossing, excavators have been seen for some time digging up a lot of material - all clear signs of the upcoming Tölz mega-project in road construction: the construction of the northern clasp.
The Weilheim State Building Authority had targeted the actual start of construction for mid-2023.
However, the head of department responsible for the district, Martin Herda, is now correcting this schedule compared to the Tölzer Kurier.
"It's currently not foreseeable that construction will start this year," he says.
It will probably take until spring 2024 for the first construction work to take place.
Nordspange: Groundwater and soil conditions are difficult
This year, the state building authority is still busy with two issues in the preparation of road construction.
Herda describes a further intensive investigation of the subsoil and the groundwater levels there as expensive.
"We found that we have a very difficult, heterogeneous geology and hydrology in the entire area of the road route," explains the department head.
The authorities have already "retrofitted" the drilling and groundwater measuring points to analyze the subsoil.
The results of the investigations would now have to be incorporated into the exact building specifications for the tender.
"That will probably keep us busy for the whole year," predicts Herda.
Test field due to "vibration-sensitive" Sitec systems
What is also still pending this year are investigations into how the construction work could affect Sitec Aerospace.
The future northern clasp will pass relatively close to their site.
To build the bypass, "we drive up heavy equipment to compact the soil," explains Herda.
"And Sitec has some vibration-sensitive systems."
For this reason, before construction begins, a test field will be set up in cooperation with the Technical University of Munich to measure the effects of the expected vibrations on the aviation supplier's building and its machines.
Plans for the near future include the further disposal of contaminated sites, some of which are military, in the subsoil, the demolition of the former signalman's cottage that stands alone between the houses on Lettenholz and the Baywa market, and the laying of gas and high-pressure gas lines, which are also located near the Baywa and would be in the way of the construction site.
Preliminary measures for Nordspange cost 3 million euros
Herda estimates that the preliminary measures planned in 2023 for the construction of the north clasp alone will cost three million euros.
When the actual main construction project begins in 2024, the first step is to create temporary routes near Greiling and in the area of the B13 north of Sitec, which traffic will use during the construction phase.
