A 49-year-old from the Murnau area was stopped by the police in Innsbruck.
She flees onto the Inntal autobahn
Innsbruck/Murnau – The fugitive ran through several red traffic lights and blocked lines and sped away at far too high a speed.
Overtaken vehicles despite oncoming traffic and sometimes on the hard shoulder.
Cross traffic had to brake sharply at intersections to avoid a collision.
On Tuesday afternoon, a 49-year-old woman from the Murnau area in Innsbruck and on the Inntal autobahn engaged in a real chase with sometimes daring maneuvers with the police.
First, she was stopped in the Tyrolean capital after picking up her car from a towing company without paying the bill.
The police and an employee of the towing company had caught the fraudster at a red light.
But then the driver took off.
Woman "from a community near the Staffelsee" tears away via the Inntal autobahn: 14 police patrols take up the pursuit.
14 police patrols took up the chase with their blue lights and sirens on when the woman took the Innsbruck-Ost ramp to the Inntalautobahn in the direction of Kufstein.
The fugitive continued to ignore all stop signals.
The officials were only able to stop them when they reduced the speed on the freeway.
Due to the traffic jam that was artificially created, she finally had to brake at the Wiesing exit, but she did not stop in time and crashed into the rear of a truck.
The woman escaped with minor injuries, police said.
The property damage caused in the rear-end collision was minor.
During her wild ride, the woman, who, according to the Innsbruck State Police Directorate, "comes from a community near Lake Staffelsee", did not have a driver's license either.
It was taken from her a few days ago after she refused an alcohol test at a traffic check.
Now the 49-year-old is threatened with an administrative fine and a complaint "due to endangering physical safety."
