American doctors emphasized the importance of staying hydrated permanently, which leads to slow aging and reduce to half the risk of dying young.
The British newspaper The Independent stated that doctors at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute in Maryland, USA, studied 11,255 individuals, who were followed for up to 30 years, in addition to examining elderly patients, and they also analyzed data from another study on the risk of atherosclerosis in communities that included participants. From across the United States, blood samples have shown that people with higher sodium intakes and lower fluid intake were more likely to have chronic conditions and advanced biological aging.
Doctors pointed out that adults who drink about two liters of water a day have fewer life-threatening diseases, such as heart and lung diseases, and they live longer than those who may not get enough fluids.
Dr. Natalia Dmitrieva, co-author of the institute, stated that proper hydration of the human body slows aging and prolongs disease-free life, stressing the importance of drinking eight glasses of water of 240 ml per day, which is approximately two liters, in addition to any other drinks.
