Fürstenfeldbruck – Like all vaccination centers in Bavaria, the facility operated by the Fürstenfeldbruck district office closed on December 31, almost exactly two years after it opened.

Until the last moment, the citizens of the district were free to have a booster vaccination against the corona virus administered at the vaccination center in Brucker West.

At the same time, things were dismantled and cleared out, or data was archived.

However, there wasn't much to dispose of.

Sabine Salzmann, administration manager of the vaccination center, reports that the disposal of the facility and other inventory has been planned for weeks.

Almost everything can be taken over by other authorities and continue to be used.

This also applies to the vaccine itself.

Matthias Skrzypczak, medical director of the vaccination center, is in contact with several medical practices that, together with selected pharmacies and company doctors, will be responsible for carrying out the vaccinations from January.

Also in the area of asylum care, in which Skrzypczak continues to be involved,

After two years, the balance was drawn

Around 235,000 vaccinations were carried out, many of them by mobile teams in old people's, handicapped and refugee facilities.

During this time, a good 180 employees worked in the vaccination center, which was initially operated by the BRK Fürstenfeldbruck and from October 2021 by the Fürstenfeldbruck district office.

Up to the last day, around 50 employees ensured comprehensive vaccination protection against the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

They were supported by 60 doctors from various disciplines, who promoted vaccination in the district under the medical direction of Skrzypczak.

In addition to the activities on site, advisory and information events were held and educational videos were shot.

As one of the few in Bavaria, the Fürstenfeldbruck vaccination center has also offered special consultation hours for the smallest patients,
