The government on Wednesday appointed Vincent Strubel director general of the National Information Systems Security Agency (Anssi), the guardian of French digital security which has around 600 people.
Vincent Strubel, polytechnician of the corps des Mines passed by Telecom Paris, was until now director of Osiic (Operator of classified interdepartmental information systems), which manages the secure communications of the State.
The Osiic has 300 people, civilians and soldiers.

He knows Anssi well, having spent most of his career there before leaving in 2020 to lead Osiic, created on that date from the former government transmission center (CTG) and the digital from Anssi.
Vincent Strubel succeeds Guillaume Poupard, another polytechnician who led the agency for eight years and was highly regarded in the world of cybersecurity.

Guillaume Poupard accompanied and piloted the rise of Anssi against a backdrop of an explosion in the computer threat, with the proliferation of criminal cyber-attacks and state network infiltration activities, for the purpose of espionage or preparation for military action.
Guillaume Poupard has been appointed Deputy Managing Director of Docaposte, the digital subsidiary of La Poste, which seeks to become a central player in secure digital services.
Anssi is attached to the Prime Minister via the General Secretariat for Defense and National Security.
