The official spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stated that many countries have expressed their willingness to participate in the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis, and some of them have offered mediation services directly.
In a statement to reporters today, Zakharova considered that some do this honestly, while others seek political gain for him, and she said: “It is strange for us to hear proposals for mediation from countries that, since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine, have taken a very aggressive stance against Russia and have not supported the regime.” Not only bloody Kyiv, but also provided him with great military-technical assistance and deliberately injected Ukraine with the latest weapons.
She pointed out that these irresponsible actions not only lead to doubling the number of victims, including among the civilian population in Donbass, and delay the end of the conflict, but are also fraught with the possibility of drawing NATO countries into a direct military confrontation with Russia.
Zakharova stressed the need to stop military support for the Kyiv regime and focus efforts on a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis.
