When Jennifer Saginor came to visit the Playboy Mansion for the first time when she was 6 years old, she thought she had arrived at a "magical kingdom," as she described it.
She is the daughter of
Hugh Hefner
's former doctor - Mark Saginor (also nicknamed Dr. Philgood, due to the pills he allegedly prescribed for him). Whenever she accompanied her father, she said that everyone present at the estate pampered her and granted her every wish. They drove her to school In a limousine, she was taken to see exotic animals at the Playboy Zoo and treated to unlimited candy in the mansion's grand playroom.However, after moving into the famous property permanently at the age of 11, Jennifer slowly began to be exposed to his dark side.
Jennifer, now 51 years old from California, recently shared her story in a British Channel 4 documentary - "Secrets of Playboy".
Among other things, she shared how watching sex, drugs and debauchery in the mansion from a young age affected her as a woman.
Jennifer said: "It took me a long time to decipher what I experienced growing up and how I feel about it. I had a sense of loyalty to this inner circle that I entered at a very young age. I didn't want to break that loyalty because I knew there would be serious consequences. It was a place where So strange. But the truth is, growing up there as a girl was magical. I was 6 years old when I first got there and then when I was 11 I moved in. My father was Hefner's best friend and doctor for 40 years and he also had his own room."

Jennifer added: "The estate was like a magical kingdom - I could have anything I wanted. The games room was unbelievable, I would take as many gumballs and M&M's as I wanted. In the morning the servants would make me food and I would get in the limo and go to school. There was also A zoo on the property. All the women on the estate would watch over me. They became mother figures to me. We used to always play dress-up, skate on the tennis court, those bonds with them were everything to me."
Jennifer had many positive interactions with Hugh Hefner when she was a child - and she saw him as a father figure.
She said: "I have so many fond memories of that time with Hef - I remember sitting on my dad's knee while he and Hef played backgammon. We used to play Kimball in the arcade. He made me feel so special - he was such a softie , nurturing and paternal".

That innocence was shattered when Jennifer hit puberty.
She said: "Hef would kiss me with his mouth open like a French kiss. I always thought it was weird that someone like my uncle would kiss me like that - but my dad told me that's what people do when they love each other."

the bitter truth
While Jennifer used to see the mansion as a place where people could explore their freedom and express themselves, she realized it was "much darker than that."
She saw that the women in the estate were ridiculed for their appearance - and soon became self-conscious about her own body.
She claimed: "I was trained to look at women the way they saw them - as a commodity. My father used to tell me to be careful because I might gain weight in my thighs. At a young age he would go over our bodies with us - my sister's and mine. It was nerve-wracking because I don't think any One of us thought we met the standard we thought was acceptable. I had breast augmentation surgery at the age of 15. It's just horrible."
Jennifer was exposed to sexuality when she was still "emotionally immature".
As a girl, she would sneak out of her bedroom to watch the "bunnies" frolic with guests at the mansion.
She recalled: "I was just so curious about what was going on in the hallway and I would see some of these girls doing things that I didn't understand at the time. I would see them naked with men around them. They were drugged. It scared me. The men were laughing and I just remember thinking 'I never I don't want to be like these girls, running around like animals."
Jennifer reveals her story:
"Hefner didn't care that I was having an affair with his girlfriend"
Jennifer said the "open" atmosphere of the Playboy mansion "pulled (her) in."
She found herself falling in love with one of Hefner's girlfriends - and slept with her when she was a minor.
Jennifer said: "When I was 15 I fell in love with one of Hefner's main girlfriends. I felt very empowered because I was very young. Over time, we became very close. One night she ordered a daquiri and one thing led to another. I think she thought I had been with a girl before. This It really eased the loneliness of that time. I didn't think there was anything wrong with what I did... Hefner didn't care that I was having an affair with his girlfriend. They knew. There are cameras everywhere."
Disturbingly, Jennifer claims the "affair" was allowed to continue until she turned 17 - when she was called into Hefner's room.
She said: "When I walked into the room and he and his girlfriend were in bed, I just thought it was fun at first. I didn't understand what was going to happen. I feel like at that moment Hefner crossed a line because he always treated me like a daughter. There I was, in his room, feeling this uncomfortable energy As if he no longer sees me as his daughter."
Jennifer claims that Hefner's girlfriend broke down in tears, which prevented the volatile situation from escalating.
Hugh Hefner died in 2017 - but Jennifer's early experiences continue to haunt her.
She published a book about her life, titled The Playground: A Lost Childhood Inside the Playboy Mansion.
Responding to the Channel 4 documentary, a Playboy spokesperson said: "We believe in women and their stories and are very supportive of the people who have come forward to share their experiences in this documentary. After nearly 70 years in business, there are many elements of Playboy's long history that we are very proud of and there are elements that we find which are not worthy of our principles. We are proud of the work we have done in recent years to stand for freedom and equality while promoting the task of enjoyment for all of us."
