Bavaria can look forward to 469 million in lottery tax revenue
Overall, it was a good year for the state lottery and casino administration in Bavaria, Finance Minister Albert Füracker (CSU) summed up.
There have never been 31 lottery millionaires in Bavaria before.
And thanks to the hard-working tipsters, some things ended up in the state treasury.
It was around 469 million euros in lottery tax, profit transfer and casino tax in 2022. These funds made additional services possible, for example for sports, culture, monument preservation and other public areas, which would otherwise not be possible or would only be possible with difficulty, says Füracker.
The nine casinos in Bavaria also overcame the Corona low in 2022.
More than 541,000 guests were counted here.
With more than 106 million euros, the casinos achieved the highest gross gaming revenue since 2007, explained Füracker.
