Today, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced the registration of a new case of cholera during the past 24 hours.
In a statement, the Ministry stated that the total number of recorded infections with the epidemic in Lebanon reached 671 cases, while the cumulative number of deaths stabilized at 23 cases.
According to international figures, cholera affects between 1.3 million and 4 million people annually in the world, and kills between 21,000 and 143,000 people.
