After speaking with Russia's Foreign Minister earlier this week, Foreign Minister Eli Cohen is expected to speak next week with his Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Kolba.
"Israel Hayom" has learned that the new government intends to continue the line taken by the previous government regarding the war and offer the Ukrainians humanitarian aid.
In this framework, Cohen is expected to update Kolba on additional solutions that Israel can provide in the field of energy supply to Ukraine, and this against the background of widespread power outages in the country.

In the meantime, a political official rejects the criticism leveled in the United States over the phone conversation Cohen had with his Russian counterpart Lavrov.
The political source explains that Israel cannot afford to reject Russia's request to talk.
"There are half a million Jews in Russia. Russia is present in Syria and has cooperation with Iran. The Israeli interest and responsibility require holding such a conversation," said the political source.
