Bright red sky over Bavaria - in the middle of the night: wild speculation about the cause

In Bavaria, the sky appears to be bright red.
A Reddit user snapped a photo and asked the community why.
One did not agree.
Munich – It's an impressive photo posted by Reddit user u/Sasuke794 on the social network's Germany community.
A bright red sky, apparently clouds, illuminated by a light source further back in the frame.
The only question is: what causes this glow?
The other users of the platform do not agree.
Sky over Bavaria lights up red: the cause is unclear
It looks like something out of a sci-fi movie, but it's obviously based on reality.
Reddit user u/Sasuke794's photo shows a bright red sky.
He writes: “On January 5th, 2023 at 00:20 seen this sky in Bavaria.
Can someone please tell me why the sky is red at night?
I've never seen anything like it.
User Kharaaz suspects: "It looks like this when the chemical plant about five kilometers away flares gas." Another Reddit user suspects the Allianz Arena, home of FC Bayern Munich.
Industrial plants and airports could also illuminate the sky, but it would then take on an orange color, writes QuastQuan.
From special lamps to "The Lord of the Rings" quotes: Other users are puzzled about the red sky
Another cause that several users suspect are various special lamps that are used, for example, in seed fields or greenhouses.
Other industrial facilities are also being considered as a possible reason for the bright red sky, such as steel mills or the OMV refinery in Burghausen.
Of course, the quote from the Elf Legolas from “The Lord of the Rings”, written by Reddit user eomdypm, should not be missing in a red sky – in this case slightly modified: “A red moon is rising.
Blood has been shed tonight — Legolas, perhaps”.
The comments also contain Zelda references, a reference to the death of the Pope and the assumption that this is a God-sent warning against the SPD.
Ultimately, however, the cause of the red sky is not entirely clear.
