Oled screen or with digital ink, for a longer period of use?
Lenovo continues to expand its range of laptops, with more and more devices that can change shape, according to use.
Among the many new products presented by the brand at CES is Lenovo Yoga Book 9 i.
This laptop has two Oled screens, connected by a hinge, a stylus and a detachable Bluetooth keyboard.
This PC can be used in all directions, folded, flat, with the screens side by side to become one, either to watch a video or to facilitate multitasking.
You can work while watching a video, or participate in a videoconference by accessing other content.
Depending on individual preferences, it is possible to type on a numeric keyboard or with the physical keyboard.
The idea is attractive, except for one drawback: the size of the hinge, which is rather huge.
It comes to split the image in two.
Hard to forget.
But the manufacturer preferred this solution to that of a folding screen, for cost reasons in particular.
It will be marketed from July, and sold from 2299 euros.
An e-ink screen for the ThinBook Plus Twist
Among the other novelties are the ThinkBook Plus Twist, also equipped with two screens but one behind the other.
On one side an OLED screen and on the other, a digital ink screen (e-ink).
The screen pivots on itself and the PC can be used both unfolded and in tablet mode, once closed, with optional access to the Oled or e-ink screen.
Switching between screens increases battery life significantly.
The other advantage is to offer a more restful screen for the eyes, better suited to taking notes, reading documents, or even books.
The ThinkBook Plus Twist should be marketed from June and 1699 euros HT.
Another novelty, the ThinkBook 16p Gen 4. The main originality of this classic laptop model is to have special connectivity at the back of the screen.
This allows you to position a 4K camera (129 euros excl. VAT), a lamp for taking selfies (24 euros) with better lighting or a 4G module for connectivity (99 euros) with a simple click.
The computer is sold to him 1399 euros HT, as of June.
The manufacturer also offers classic laptops, with a single screen, a range dedicated to gaming and a smartphone intended for professionals.
But it is above all these PCs with very mobile screens that are attracting attention again this year.
