The technical workshops of the General Corporation for Drinking Water have completed the maintenance of the main water supply line linking the city of Hasakah and the district of Tal Tamr in the northwestern countryside.
The Director of the Water Corporation, Eng. Mahmoud Al-Akla, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that the maintenance work focused on repairing the water valves called Fantus, which are 30 large valves spread along the 30-kilometer line, with the aim of limiting the leakage of water transported through it and reducing water loss from the water coming from Alouk station. Towards Al-Hama station, and from there to the subscribers in Al-Hasakah city.
Al-Akla pointed out that the maintenance of the main traction line is part of a comprehensive project to maintain the Alouk station, including water wells, submersibles, and electrical and mechanical equipment. Waiting for the organization's workshops to be able to enter the station in the future to carry out the necessary maintenance.
It is noteworthy that the maintenance work of the Alouk project, including the maintenance of the main water line, is being carried out in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
