These tags refer to Charles Pieri, a 72-year-old Corsican nationalist figure, suspected of having led the clandestine independentist group Front de liberation nationale corse (FLNC) for a time.
He was indicted on December 9 in Paris, in particular for association with terrorist criminals, and imprisoned.

Seven other people had been indicted during this crackdown in nationalist circles on the island.
This operation had been carried out as part of a judicial investigation opened in Paris on the threat of a return to armed struggle by the FLNC.
Corsica has known for a year a multiplication of arson attacks mainly targeting second homes of French people residing in France, often with the presence of tags but without official claim.

Campsites, beach restaurants, construction companies and construction machinery were also damaged by intentional fires.
In total, 16 acts targeting two police vehicles, two construction companies and twelve private residences were claimed by the FLNC on July 11.
The National Anti-Terrorist Prosecutor's Office has taken up the case.
