A taxi crashed into a passerby in Tai Wai.
Today (5th) at around 9pm, the police received multiple reports that a taxi knocked down a 91-year-old old man surnamed Ho at No. 2 Cui Tin Street, Tai Wai.
The old man suffered a head injury and was sent to the Prince of Wales Hospital in a coma for emergency treatment, but was later confirmed dead.
The headlights of the taxis seen at the scene were damaged, and a slipper suspected to belong to the old man was left on the road.
The police arrested a 54-year-old male driver of the taxi and are investigating the cause of the incident.
The police said they were investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tianxin on the night of January 5, in which a 91-year-old man surnamed He died.

The taxi driver was arrested on suspicion of "dangerous driving causing death". He is currently being detained for investigation.
