Fourth and last part of the EZ series on accident black spots: this time in the north and west of the Ebersberg district: There is also good news.

County

– The good news first.

One of the district's most dangerous accident routes for many years no longer appears in the accident commission's new list of accident blackspots for 2018 to 2020: the B 12 across the Ebersberg area in the north from west to east, from Munich to Passau was once always in the discussion.

One point on the border with the district of Mühldorf was particularly noticeable for a long time.

A curve, in a forest, dead, seriously injured - as well as on the entire route.

All parts of the series can be found here: the southern district, the B 304, the north and the west as well as the development of accident figures.

Relief due to the new section of the A 94

Since the opening of the A 94 in October 2019 in further construction to the east, the situation on the previous B 12 route has defused.

According to initial figures, despite the shift in traffic to the new autobahn, there were not significantly more accidents there.

But the development is still too recent to make more precise statements, according to the experts.

There was also the corona factor here: Basically less traffic on the streets.

Highways in another statistic

Incidentally, the motorways in the district do not appear in the statistics of the Ebersberg Accident Commission.

The Hohenbrunn Police Inspectorate is responsible.

It has its office building on the A 99, the so-called Ostring, and is also responsible for other sections of the autobahn, namely the A 94 from Munich-Steinhausen to the Dorfen exit.

But that doesn't mean that only the highways are in the view of those responsible at the district level.

After all, considerations about safety on the roads do not end at the county boundaries or at responsibilities.

The traffic light crossing in Anzing

In the north of the district there are also other, very dangerous places with frequent accidents, such as the state road 2081 in Anzing through the town and the traffic light crossing there: Accidents when turning off occur mainly when the traffic light was defective or switched off.

Here you can react quickly.

Goal: Adjust the switching program of the traffic light system.

A current problem: the traffic light crossing in Anzing.

The traffic lights have been adjusted.

Next point: Poing, crossing of the two district roads EBE1/EBE2, in the middle of the town, at the level of the fire brigade.

Connection from north to south and from east to west, Grub on one side, the wildlife park on the other, high traffic density.

Roundabout as a suggestion for the Gruber crossing

Turning accidents in particular are recorded at the Gruber crossing.

According to the police, the switching program of the traffic lights was changed.

The accident commission's proposal for a longer-term effect on the district, since it is a question of district roads: to convert the location into a roundabout.

What will become of this proposal remains to be seen.

There is also the question of whether the plots of land required for the conversion are actually available.

The nearest accident black spot nearby, the EBE 2 to the north, in the Pliening community area.

Local boundary to Poing, "An der Leitn".

This is where turning accidents occur.

Measures taken: Improvement of signage and installation of a stop sign.

Municipality of Vaterstetten

At the end of the overview of the accident hotspots in the district in this series, a look to the west into the municipal area of the largest municipality of Vaterstetten.

There are three other neuralgic points, in addition to the already published problems on the axis of the B 304, two close together and one that is also nationally very important, namely the exit of the A 94 motorway near Parsdorf.

In sequence: Vaterstetten, EBE4/Parsdorfer Straße, i.e. the turn-off from the district road from Wolfesing (Gemeinde Zorneding) to Hergolding.

Actually relatively open terrain.

In the offset crossing area, however, there are always accidents, probably for different reasons.

Among other things, collisions when turning.

The measures taken by the Accident Commission: improved signage and reduced speed to 70 kilometers per hour.

Directly next to it.

Crossroads to Purfinger Strasse.

The statistics also note turning accidents.

Measures taken: Improvement of signage and speed reduction to 70 kilometers per hour.

In addition, a lane divider is to be installed on both sides of the adjoining streets.

However, here, as in many other cases, the redesign also depends on the availability of the necessary plots of land.

Despite many traffic lights, there is a bang here: the A 94 motorway exit near Parsdorf.

And then another very important point.

An already published photo was already a signal for the beginning of the series.

Lots of traffic lights and yet problems: The Parsdorf motorway junction, to the north of the municipality.

Nationally significant and an important connection to both the commercial and residential areas.

There have been accidents there.

According to the accident commission, especially when the traffic light was not in operation.

That should change now.

The traffic light stays on longer.

In addition, the switching times of the traffic lights should be optimized.
