One of the world's favorite winter vacation styles is skiing - and even in Israel, which is not exactly known as a country full of snow, many choose to fly abroad to enjoy this type of vacation, especially in the various resorts in Europe.
Now, the biggest news sites in the world are reporting that ski resorts are closing due to extreme weather that doesn't even allow surfing in those resorts, apparently due to the climate crisis that has plagued the world in recent years.

According to the reports in the Guardian, CNN, CNBC and other major news sites, this year's weather does not allow the snow to pile up.
The snows that fell during the last month are melting due to a relatively high temperature compared to the one experienced at the ski resorts usually in January.

The problem exists in the various sites in Eastern Europe, in the low areas of the Alps and in various areas throughout the continent.
Some of the ski resorts offer the vacationers who come to them to go hiking, and in the photos published on the CNN website you can see how the exact same place at a ski resort in France was full of snow in January 2018 - and how it is almost impossible to see snow today.
The reports also indicate that in order to hold the World Skiing Championship in an area that was supposed to be full of snow, this year trucks with snow cannons were brought in to allow the competition to take place.
The forecasted weather does not predict heavy snow in the coming days in most regions of Europe, which causes some pessimism among ski holiday organizers.
However, it is important to emphasize that in higher areas and in certain areas around the continent there is enough snow to ski, and it is important to check in advance what the snow conditions are at your destination before you go on vacation.
