, Pap Ndiaye presents the three “requirements” which will be at the heart of his action to reform National Education, this
“formidable institution, far removed from the famous caricature of the “mammoth””.
If the measures to achieve this are not yet clearly specified, we can guess certain orientations, and draw some questions from them.
The first requirement consists in raising the level of the pupils in the fundamental subjects:
"Tests in spelling, reading, calculation, modern languages indicate that it is still necessary to insist on the fundamental teachings, in particular in CM1, CM2 and sixth .”
