Serious accident near Regensburg claims one dead and two injured – drivers thrown out of the car

A serious accident occurred near Regensburg.
For reasons that have not yet been clarified, a car spun across the freeway.
Nittendorf – On the A3 in the direction of Regensburg, just before the Nittendorf junction, there was a serious traffic accident on Thursday morning.
A total of six vehicles were involved, one person died at the scene of the accident.
The emergency services could not provide any information on the cause of the accident.
Serious accident near Regensburg: one dead, two injured, six vehicles involved
According to the police press release, the accident happened around 7 a.m. on a wet road.
According to the current state of investigation, a 36-year-old was driving in the left lane in the direction of Regensburg when he suddenly and for reasons that have not yet been clarified left into the middle barrier, then spun across the motorway and crashed into the right-hand barrier.
He was then thrown back again and as a result crashed into two other following vehicles.
According to the police, the 36-year-old was thrown out of his vehicle - the officials suspect that he was not buckled - and died on the spot from his serious injuries.
Three other cars then collided with vehicle parts scattered on the road and were slightly damaged.
The occupants of the cars that collided directly with the accident car suffered minor injuries and were taken to a hospital in Regensburg by the ambulance service as a precaution.
Only on Wednesday evening had there been a fatal accident in Bavaria: an 18-year-old died after a head-on collision with a truck.
Large-scale operation for the police, fire brigade and emergency doctor - witnesses wanted
The three cars mainly involved suffered material damage of around 75,000 euros.
"Four vehicles were secured on the basis of an order from the public prosecutor's office, and an expert was also on site to clarify the course of the accident," the police also said.
The roadway had to be closed until around 1.30 p.m. due to the rescue and clean-up work.
In addition to the voluntary fire brigades "from Laaber, Undorf, Nittendorf and Etterzhausen, various rescue vehicles and a rescue helicopter were also used," writes the police.
