A man in his 70s who lives in one of the villages in the north, picked up a hitchhiker near his residence. What happened next no one could have imagined.
In the case that happened a few days ago, the hitchhiker was picked up after informing him that they had reached their destination and would not reach the neighboring village.
The two were arrested at a building materials store in the center of Kfar.
The driver went shopping for a moment, leaving the vehicle in motion.

When he left the store he discovered to his surprise that the vehicle was gone.
After he started asking passers-by, they told him that the hitchhiker took the vehicle and disappeared.
When he immediately contacted the police, he told them that he also left his phone in the car along with all his personal equipment.
The policemen of the local station located the phone and found it with one of the residents of the nearby village.

The resident said that the hitchhiker gave him the phone and had difficulty explaining why he took it.
He stopped and told about his friend who continued with the vehicle.
But the vehicle is gone.
A short time later, the vehicle was located in an olive grove - painted with white lime.
In his interrogation, the suspect said that he feared he would have no way to get home.
The suspect was brought to the Magistrate's Court in Acre, where his detention was extended by six days and the police intend to file an indictment against him.
In his investigation, he admitted to stealing the vehicle.
"The police showed determination and handled the incident quickly and thoroughly," said Nofer Adri, head of the investigation office at the Ma'alot Tarshiha station.
"The vehicle was located within a few hours and returned along with the phone to its owner while the paint on it was still fresh."
