Dachau's probably sweetest New Year's news comes from the Helios Amper Clinic.
Little Ajnur is Dachau's New Year baby.
Dachau – On January 1st at 5:46 p.m., Ajnur was there! The boy, who is 50 centimeters tall and weighs 3000 grams, felt visibly comfortable in the arms of his mother Nerma Basic. The Dachau birth team led by Dr. Sabine Keim, head of gynecology and head of obstetrics at the Amper-Klinikum, was very happy about the New Year's baby and congratulated her colleague Nerma Basic. Because the mother works as a nurse in the ward for trauma surgery in the Amper-Klinikum.
Mothers can give birth in Dachau from the 36th week of pregnancy
"We have a great team here that takes care of the parents and newborns with a lot of passion and competence," says Dr.
Sabine Germ.
"It's nice to see that so many parents trust us and come to us for the delivery."
In the Dachau Clinic, mothers can give birth from the 36th week of pregnancy.
"Every birth is different," says Dr.
germ.
“For us, everything is based on the individual wishes of the mother.
For example, if you want to give birth in a birthing pool, we give you the opportunity to do so," says the head physician.
The Dachau Women's Clinic has three delivery rooms, two separate labor rooms, three examination rooms and a breastfeeding room on the ward.
“We are well equipped,” says Dr.
germ tight.
"In addition to modern delivery beds and monitors in the delivery rooms, the young families have access to a needs-based specialist department that is state-of-the-art in medical technology."
Own surgery for caesarean sections is available
The women's clinic offers its own operating room for caesarean sections and central CTG monitoring.
With continuous cardiotocography (CTG), the fetal heartbeat is monitored to check the well-being of the unborn child during labour.
All newborns are examined, cared for and, if necessary, treated by experienced paediatricians.
Monitoring stations and appropriately trained nursing staff are available for special situations such as adjustment disorders or blood sugar fluctuations.
"The most important thing," emphasizes the chief physician, "is that the parents and babies feel safe and secure with us.
Our great team ensures that they take care of the families with full commitment and a lot of love and respond to their wishes.”
On New Year's Day, two more babies saw the light of day in the Dachau hospital.
