Bordeaux: a network of dealers sentenced to prison

Nine men aged 19 to 49 appeared before the Bordeaux court on Friday. Two of them did not appear on the stand.

They had centered their drug trafficking around the Adoma home, an emergency accommodation center in Eysines (Gironde).

Successively arrested between October 2021 and February 2022, nine men aged 19 to 49 were tried on Friday by the Bordeaux court.

All were charged with transportation, acquisition, sale, possession or at least possession of narcotics.

The main defendants, Maxime M. and Abdelkader M., were respectively sentenced to 30 and 18 months in prison.

Six others received a suspended sentence of eight to twelve months in prison and the two absent are targeted by an arrest warrant accompanied by one year's imprisonment.

A family at the heart of the trial

The two main defendants are brothers-in-law.

At 27, eight of whom have been behind bars, Abdelkader M. said he was content to "

help

out" from time to time, without financial compensation.

Very calm, his sister's husband, for his part, acknowledged the accusations.

Imprisoned in 2009 for similar facts, he claimed to have relapsed to feed his family after an Achilles tendon operation.

“, admits Maxime M. If ten grams were found at his home during the searches, he stored his goods elsewhere.

Nearly 5 kilos of cannabis resin, two class B firearms, his clothes and his passport were seized from a friend of his wife.

The friend in question, Fabien N., would have given him a duplicate of his keys so that he could escape the conflicts of his homes.

the presence of weapons and the quantity of drugs

" seized in his apartment.

Alain R., a resident of the Adoma home at the RSA, also disputed that his room was used as a hideout.

According to him, the branded packaging and the 41 grams of cannabis found at his home are for his personal use.
