2023-01-06T13:36:11.708Z

Alongside the groundbreaking technologies on display, the show has earned a solid reputation for providing media exposure

These innovations often raise more questions than they provide answers and solutions.

Unmissable at the CES show in Las Vegas, they attract attention despite a variable and questionable technological contribution.

We have scoured the aisles of the 2023 edition in search of these wacky inventions whose short career may well be limited to prototype status.

Exploration, never really exhaustive, of the largest improbable inventions fair in the world.

The connected bird feeder

This bird feeder takes the form of a small house with a roof equipped with a solar panel to power the camera.

BirdBuddy wants to reconnect us to nature by creating a link with the birds that come to feed on this feeder equipped with sensors and a camera that detects their arrival.

In the form of a small house, its roof supplies the observation device with a solar panel.

According to its creators, the high-resolution camera is able to recognize a thousand different species.

Bird friends receive a notification when a bird lands indicating the type and all the information about this new passing companion.

Pre-orders started from 200 euros for the basic version.

Custom tattooed eyebrows

The Brow Magic is presented as an alternative to semi-permanent tattoos made in beauty salons.

The L'Oréal group is venturing into temporary and aesthetic tattooing with its Brow Magic device, which aims to help achieve perfect eyebrows.

Without going through the painful step of microblading or, more radically, real tattooing.

The application will first analyze the face and identify the eyebrows and their initial shape.

Augmented reality will project virtual options for changes and recommendations.

Once the thickness, effect and color are chosen, the printer will use its pressure sensors to hug the hair and apply cosmetic ink in a single sweeping motion.

During our demo, the brushstroke was pretty well executed.

If you are convinced of the result, these ephemeral eyebrows (2 days maximum) will then be easily cleanable with a make-up remover and in case of doubt,

you will have a few minutes before it dries to erase everything.

This unique device will be sold by the end of the year between 149 and 199 euros.

A smart punching bag

The I-Percut Connected Bag wraps around a punching bag and records punches.

All sporting efforts are measured and quantified.

The I-Perskin is responsible for analyzing the blows received.

This connected punching bag cover is based on flexible sensors that measure the strength and responsiveness of boxers.

Easily transportable when folded, it slides directly onto properly installed equipment.

A smartphone application also summarizes all the recorded data.

This will allow you to measure progress and give sound advice to improve your "punch".

It is sold in priority in sports halls.

Entirely made in Occitania, it is displayed at the price of 790€.

Self-cleaning cat litter

The Litter Robot 4 wants to convince cat lovers who don't like to empty excrement.

Notice to absolute cat fans.

The American company Whisker has developed a litter box that observes in real time when our furry friends do their business and immediately starts cleaning so that you don't have to.

The Litter Robot 4 will spin on itself and filter the feces sent to a bag for easy disposal.

You will only have to empty it once a week.

Filters take care in parallel to evacuate the odor thanks to the action of deodorants.

This litter can accommodate up to 4 cats.

An application offers the possibility of keeping track of visits to the toilet with notifications.

A technical feat that would still cost you nearly 700 euros.

hair dye printer

This cosmetic ink printer applies colors to hair.

After making a lasting impression on forearms last year with its temporary tattoos, the Korean start-up Prinker is back this year with a new version of its Prinker M printer, including an accessory that extends its functionality.

This device will project cosmetic ink on the hair in order to color it at will by choosing several options in the application.

The operation lasts a few minutes and the colors will hold until the next shampoo.

The effect is truly stunning during demonstrations.

This instant and temporary dye is displayed at the price of 389 euros for the printer and you will have to keep in mind the cost of the cartridges.
