The majority MP Damien Abad asked Friday, January 6 "
a public apology
" to RTL after two columns where a humorist was ironic about the "
stumps

penguin
" approach of the former disabled minister.

I cannot tolerate having my physique attacked in such a degrading and humiliating way
,” Damien Abad said in a statement.

To attack my disability with such violence (…) is of a rare indignity and these attacks on the disabled are totally unacceptable
,” he added.

Friday, January 6 in the morning, the humorist Philippe Caverivière had compared Damien Abad to a “
penguin
” having “
the bumpy gait of these friendly birds
”.
The day before, he had chronicled an imaginary Caesars ceremony, with among the male revelations, “

”, an allusion to his legal setbacks after accusations of rape.

Damien Abad has arthrogryposis, a rare congenital neuromuscular disease that results in joint deformities and stiffness, limiting range of motion.

," said the related MP Renaissance.
Possible lawsuits

I demand a public apology from this great national radio station.
If necessary, I will ask my lawyers to consider the necessary legal proceedings
, ”he concluded in his press release.
Former head of LR deputies, Damien Abad was appointed Minister of Solidarity, Autonomy and People with Disabilities in May.
He left the government in early July, targeted by the opening of a preliminary investigation for attempted rape.
