Haro on the European electricity market.
On all sides of the political spectrum, the oppositions have been falling head over heels for a few weeks on this device accused of being at the origin of the soaring bills of the French.
Many politicians, such as Jordan Bardella (RN), Éric Ciotti (LR) or Fabien Roussel (PCF), call on the government to imitate Spain and Portugal, two countries which, they say, have left this market European.
For its part, the executive is firmly opposed to this proposal: "
We cannot go out as the Spaniards and the Portuguese did, because we do not have the same relationship to energy as the Iberian Peninsula
", which "
does not import energy or export energy with the European market
", justified the Minister in charge of SMEs, Trade, Crafts and Tourism, Olivia Grégoire , early January.
So, could France really get out of this European system of electricity production and price setting?
