The Narrhalla Walls started the carnival season with the enthronement ball.

The royal couple and the guard delighted with their performances.

Mauern

- normality is back in the carnival stronghold of Mauern: At the enthronement on Thursday evening in the Alter Wirt, the Narrhalla presented their program and gave the new royal couple the accolade.

The first step towards normality was the last official act of "our permanent royal couple" (Mayor Georg Krojer).

Julia I. and Matthias IV. danced one last waltz and received the first medals of the carnival 2023, in which, in addition to lavish celebrations at the Alter Wirt, there will again be the traditional carnival parade.

Georg Krojer has already announced that the usual route will be rescheduled for the move during the hot carnival days.

This year the train will not be resolved in the direction of Wollersdorf, but along the main road in the direction of Hörgertshausen.

After two years of the compulsory Corona break, the new royal couple Laura I. (Oberprieler) and Johannes X. (Sedlmeier) received the accolade and then the scepter in their hands.

The foolish regents received the key to the town hall from Mayor Georg Krojer after the velvet box, which had become a bit rusty in two years, opened up.

The mayor also congratulated the Narrhalla on the selection of the new royal couple: "The two come from well-known Mauerner carnival families."

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

In the short opening speech, Princess Laura I. immediately hinted at the anticipation of the family sponsorship: "It's nice that my parents support me a lot, now I'll really use my dad's wallet." The previous Princess Julia Engel can now return to her real life dedicate task.

Together with Sophia Filipp, she trains the guard girls, who have developed new choreographies this year and have brought an unusual element into their picture with white fans.

During the Guard March, the young ladies from Mauern danced to the Hungarian Dance Number 5 by composer Johannes Brahms.

David Garrett's "Baboushka" was chosen for the encore.

And the royal couple also had a tailor-made start.

The Prince Waltz was danced to David Garrett's "Midnight Waltz".

Together with trainer Rebecca Metz, the duo had prepared themselves perfectly for the start of the carnival season.

The prince had also earned the reward – handing kisses to his guard after the prince's waltz.

Loud entry: The senators – and also the Eleven councilors – were in a party mood at the enthronement ball on Thursday in Mauer – to the delight of the many guests.

After two unusual carnival years, the Narrhalla Walls are again broadly positioned.

Senators and Elferrat were loud as ever.

In addition to the princely couple and the guards, this carnival also includes the youth show dance group Fireflies and the show dance group for adults.

This team is now going into the season in which two children's balls (January 15, February 12) and a guard meeting (January 21) are hosted.

The classic Narrisch Mauern will be celebrated on Nonsensical Thursday 16th and Sooty Friday 17th February.

The final highlight is on Shrove Sunday, February 19, when the carnival procession meanders through the village from 2 p.m.

The Narrhalla Nandlstadt has already started the carnival season and delighted the audience with their show.
