An 18-year-old was fatally injured in a collision with a truck.
Postmünster – An 18-year-old died in a head-on collision between a car and a truck in the Rottal-Inn district of Lower Bavaria.
At around 5 p.m. on federal highway 388 near Postmünster, for reasons that are still unclear, he ran into oncoming traffic and collided with the truck, the police said on Thursday night (January 5).
During the collision, the driver was trapped in his car.
He succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident, but the driver of the truck was not injured.

According to the police, the latter had tried to prevent the collision with an emergency brake.
As a result, two rear-end collisions occurred.
The drivers of the cars involved were unharmed.
The fire brigade was on site with a total of 60 forces.
After the accident on Wednesday evening, the B 388 remained closed for several hours and traffic was diverted.
An expert was employed to reconstruct the exact course of events.
