The government will approve at its upcoming meeting on Sunday the name change of the Ministry of Internal Security to the Ministry of National Security.
This, in accordance with the demand of the chairman of Entzma Yehudit, Minister Itamar Ben Gabir, who heads the ministry. The proposal of the decision-makers distributed to the ministers shows that the cost of the move - changing the name of the ministry and the minister in all official publications - is estimated at 2-3 million shekels to be financed from the Ministry of Internal Security's budget.

On Sunday, the government will also approve a series of senior appointments in the government ministries, including the designated government secretary Yossi Fox, the director general of the Ministry of Health and Justice Itamar Donnenfeld, the director general of the Ministry of the Interior Ronan Peretz and more.
The government will also discuss the appointment of an adviser to the Minister of Transportation Miri Regev, Moshe Ben Zaken, to the position of Director of the Ministry of Transportation, who was disqualified by the Appointments Committee of the Civil Service Commission, which determined that he was not qualified for the position.
The government is also expected to discuss the appointment of the designated Director General of the Ministry of Health Moshe Bar Siman Tov and the proposal promoted by Minister of Health Arye Deri to give Bar Siman Tov double his salary in his position. Deri wants to compare the salary of Bar Siman Tov to the salary of the Director General of the Ministry of Health who is also a doctor , under the conditions of a large hospital manager, even though he is not a doctor.
According to the proposal, Bar Siman Tov is expected to earn about NIS 90,000 a month instead of about 40,000 like the CEO of a regular government office.
