An informed source said that "on Tuesday morning, the court convened for the appeals of Mehdi Bahman and Ayatollah Abdul Hamid from Tehrani. In this court, Mehdi Bahman was sentenced to five years in prison and Ayatollah Abdul Hamid from Tehrani was sentenced to five years of probation.
According to the source, Ayatollah Masumi Tehrani was released from prison in the afternoon of that day, and Mehdi Bahman was transferred from Wing 209 in Evin Prison to Pashfooshia Prison in Greater Tehran.

Also, the source added that "after the end of the hearing and the announcement of the court's verdict, Mehdi Bahman protested the verdict given by this court."
Mehdi Bahman's trial was held on January 3 in Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Amuzed.
On Thursday, January 8, the "Committee for Monitoring the Situation of Detainees" emphasized that the writer was denied the right to an appointed lawyer during the trial.
Mehdi Bahman has been active in the field of "coexistence of religions" for more than 20 years and promotes a joint activity to encourage religious dialogue with Ayatollah Mesumi Tehrani.
