La Nupes, at the heart of the televised debate between the candidates for the head of the PS


Jean-Luc Mélenchon largely inhabited the exchanges, Friday evening, between Hélène Geoffroy, Olivier Faure and Nicolas Meyer-Rossignol.

Soon fifteen years after his departure from the Socialist Party, Jean-Luc Mélenchon returned to live, on Friday evening, the televised debate, on France Info, of the three candidates for the leadership of the PS: the current first secretary and deputy of Seine-et- Marne Olivier Faure, the former Secretary of State and Mayor of Vaulx-en-Velin, Hélène Geoffroy, and the Mayor of Rouen, Nicolas Meyer-Rossignol.

The relationship between socialists and rebels within the Nupes provoked the only salient moments of a debate between the three figures of a party which is playing its survival after the catastrophic score - 1.7% - of its candidate Anne Hidalgo in the presidential.

Can we get out of this obsession?
