Teen depression: how to detect it?

OUR ADVICE - From mild depression to suicide, teenagers who have gone through the Covid crisis, easy prey to screens and social networks, are more vulnerable than their elders to mental disorders.


In a recent report, the Department of Research, Studies, Evaluation and Statistics (Drees) revealed that in 2021, 20% of 15-24 year olds suffered from depressive syndromes.

A rate four times higher than that established by the same study, in 2014. The Covid crisis has been there.

Dropping out of school has intensified, the withdrawal during the confinements to the first family circle has not always been beneficial, the young person finding only few escapes from the anguish of his family and suicidal behavior has multiplied, in especially among young girls.
